    Strangely enough, I put on my old Sony CD of Brahm's violin concerto/Double concerto with Stern this morning before I read about his death - I felt eerily compelled to do this. He sure lived a full life, making wonderful music for many years.

    One of the great violinists of our time and a man dedicated to the arts. He helped save Carnegie Hall with his efforts. R.I.P. maestro.
