(Time heals all wounds)
Yech! I'm not even hungover and that makes me wanna barf just thinking about it.
Stop drinking. You'll never get a hang-over again.
have a beer,, serious...
Not a whole helluvalot you can do for a hangover. Just drink plenty of H20 and sleep.
WHAT??? DO YOU HAVE A HANGOVER??? SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!
(At least, that's what my fraternity brothers would have done to "cure" a hangover. )
Seriously - best cure is to hydrate yourself beyond any form of hydration. Hangovers are generally a result of a loss of water... drink drink drink drink (water, not the other stuff).
Yep...Water, water, water....also eat yourself a good meal. Exercise will help too no matter how much it hurts.
Snickers Bar & Power-Ade or another sports drink. After that doesn't come back up, Advil and sip on cool water.
FWIW: Scotch doesn't give me nearly as nasty a hangover as does cognac.
Alka-Seltzer before you go to bed and first thing in the morning (afternoon?) when you wake up. If you throw it up, good, take another. Add massive amounts of Vitamin B supplement and water, water, water.
My friends and I have said for a long time that if Alka-Seltzer made you feel as good after taking it sober as it does when you are hungover - it would be illegal.
the best stuff is pedialyte they give it to kids
To quickly replace fluids and electrolytes lost during diarrhea and vomiting to help prevent dehydration in infants and children; for maintenance of water and electrolytes following corrective parenteral therapy for diarrhea. Pedialyte is designed to promote fluid absorption more effectively than common household beverages.
Back when I was in Vet School, some of the more adventurous students concocted a few "cures", using anti-inflammatory medications. Theory being that if it would make a horse feel better, it should cure most hangovers. I tried one of these orally ingestable potions once when I had a terrible, terrible case of the flu (there are no sick days in med or vet school), and, my God, even disguised with orange juice, it was the foulest, most bitter, gag-inducing glass of yuck I could ever imagine. I would rather die than have to drink it again. It would be a big hit on some of the reality shows.
It cured my flu symptoms though.
P.S. Sorry, professional ethics do not allow me to give out the recipe.
I just take a couple of advil and drink plenty of gatorade.
Works for me also. Back when I played hockey, we had practices at 6:00am Saturday mornings. Well, after most of our Friday nights, Saturday mornings were brutal, but, after an hour of skating around, We usually felt much better. As long as we didn't pass out . Just make sure to keep chugging water as everyone else has pointed out also.
1 Long Hot Steamy shower.
6-8 Ibuprofens (Not taken all at one time mind you)
1-2 Large bottles of Gatorade
As many DVD's as you can watch in a 12-16 hour period.
12-16 Hours to spend on said couch couch watching said DVD's.
1 Bucket (Just in case)
Depends on the hangover, if it's just a headache you are probably dehydrated and now it's a little late. Right after drinking you should have taken a couple of asprin and chugged as much water as you could, and repeated that after you woke up.
If you are hung over from beer and feel a little sick to the stomach, drink a beer (it really does work) along with the above.
If you drank yourself silly and feel like you got hit by a truck, you're stuck and have to wait it out, along with the above water and asprin.
Here's my cure:
Before bed.. drink copious amounts of water.. and take one aspirin. When you get up in the middle of the night to take a leak from all the water, drink some more water.
Then.. if still hungover in the morning, exercise vigorously and drink more water.
That usually works for me... or going to my favorite greasy spoon for a taco omelette.
