i have a onkyo 787 whitch has 100wpc on 6 channels.and polk audio 800 fronts 400 center and 500 for all of my surounds.

my queston is will adding a good amp like b&k referance 200.7 to the mix give me a niticeable upgrade. or should i just stick with my curent system.

Yes it will make a noticiable improvement. Smoother top end, fuller midrange but the most noticiable difference would be the taut bass you would get from an amp like the B&K.
