What's the most logical guess at the release date for the original Star Wars Trilogy. I understand anything would be speculation. Did a search, but there are just too damn many threads.

Lucas says not until Episode III is done. So, assume that comes out in May 2005, with a DVD in late 2005.

Then hopefully we could expect the original Trilogy DVDs in 2006.

All subject to change of course.

It's also been rumored that Lucas is going to further improve the added CGI in the original trilogy.

IMO, if it's anything like the current ILM animation, I think we're in for a treat. (And lets hope that they get rid of all the matte boxes and compositing artifacts this time)

If you really mean the "original" trilogy, not the SE- the approx arrival date would be "when hell freezes over".

I don't think we'll ever see the unaltered trilogy on DVD.
