I'm a bit confused about the optimal placement for my rear speakers.
I've run a search and the threads I came up with either only talked about height or pointed to the Dolby Website.
However, on the Dolby website there are two suggestions:
If I goto www.dolby.com/disk (a page talking about mixing) it says to put the rears 110 degrees off center. However when I look at www.dolby.com/ht/sound/sound3.html says to put them at the sides.
What do you guys/gals suggest? I have direct speakers as opposed to bipolars if it makes a big difference.
Thanks

Rob,
The best tutorial I have found on this is from Wendy Carlos at www.wendycarlos.com. She suggests the 110 deg also, best I remember. This means to the sides, but a little toward the rear (by 20 deg).
Hope this helps.
Joe
