Okay, this question is probably a no-brainer but anyways...

I want to put a 250MB Zip drive in my computer, but I just want to buy the OEM part, instead of shelling $60-$80 more for a retail version. Now the question I have is will my OS (WinXP) be able to regonize the drive? Should I encounter any problems without having the drivers (software?) the otherwise come with the retail versions? If or if not, what else should I have on hand to fix the problems? (okay, that was more than one question, sorry!)

Again, thanks for any help!

WinXP has build in driver for zip, so go for it. I just removed an internal 250 zip from my Dell XPS T500 to a 4400 running XP, boots right up, no drivers required.

You should still get a driver with an OEM drive-the only thing that should be missing is the retail box. If all else fails though, you should just be able to snag the right driver online.
