Quick! help me spend $3000 (1 Viewer)

My work is looking for a portable projector for under $3000. The old projector was stolen and we need to replace it pronto (I need to find an answer in the next day or so)....
We are not looking for somthing for home use, so fan noise is not really an issue but something compact and portable (under 12 pounds)would be nice....
Our uses will be limited to powerpoint presentations and the like so a 16:9 display area is not a must. I have seen some DLP projectors here and there for around 3 grand but we are not apposed to LCD or CRT projectors...
Do you guys know any models, prices and/or online retailers that have great deals?
