The Once and Future King, by T.H. White but I guess I'll have to pick it up nowGreat book. The first half may be the hardest I remember laughing reading a serious novel in quite a long time. I wish the followup wasn't so disappointing -- the so called Chapter 5 "The Book of Merlyn"
Not really meant to be historically accurate, but just great book. "The Mists of Avalon" is also very good book coming from an entirely different perspective.
Excalibur was truly a monumental movie in my life. I think I was Year 3 University or possible early Year 4. Right up there with Close Encounters and ESB. I think I saw it just a bit after ESB and actually debated which was a better movie though ESB eventually won the argument.
