Everything seems reasonable except for the $2 movie channels. I'd call back and confirm.

Do as much wiring as possible before the installer shows up. You need a total of 4 cables from the dish to the basement. If you are under 4 tuners (the D-Tivo counts as 2) then you will not need a switch. More than 4 tuners and DirecTV will supply you with a 4x8 cascadable switch.

The coax will be fine over the winter.

Well I guess what they did for the movie channels (supposedly) was give me HBO for free for 6 months, then added Showtime for the regular $12 a month, then gave me a $10 credit. Originally the lady was going to give me 2 for 1 HBO/Cinemax, but I had to check on it and call back, so she left a message on the computer. When I called back, I talked to somebody different, and she may have read it wrong or something, but she repeated it to me like 5 times on the phone, so? I'll keep an eye on it.
