1) I use DVE to do my 6.1 audio calibration and have a question: should I use the band limited pink noise or full bandwidth pink noise for the 75 dB SPL calibration? During the explanation on how to do it, the narrator says "band limited" but the video shows a demonstration with the full bandwidth pink noise. I'm using the band limited pink noise, but I'm still confused whether I'm doing the right thing. 2) Also, the primer on this forum says to place the SPL meter at a 40 degree angle, but DVE says to point it vertically up towards the ceiling. What's the right way to do it? 3) I initially used DVE to tweak the video settings of my TV, but then a friend brought over his Avia and the settings drifted a bit. Frankly, I think the new settings calibrated with Avia are better. I find Avia better for video calibration and DVE better for audio calibration (since DVE offers 6.1/7.1). Anyways, my question is, with either DVD's contrast pattern, how do you proper calibrate contrast on an RPTV, since I don't see any blooming at all?
