In the New York area, the Tonight Show is on at 11:35pm (the usual time slot), and then again at 2:05am with repeats of what I think are recent episodes.

My question is if the 2:05am episode is a repeat of that night's show, or recent episode being shown a few days later?

I missed a guest from Wednesday's show, and I really wanted to see the interview. I'm hoping to catch it in a repeat if possible, but I don't know when I should expect it.

Could anybody provide an assist? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

No, it is not. It's usually a repeat of the same night's episode from the week before. So, for example, this Wednesday night's show should be repeated next Thursday at 2:05 a.m. (I believe they show them in day-by-day order.)
Now, in weeks after repeat showings at the regular hour, repeats of shows from various weeks may be shown at 2:05 a.m.
