I will be hooking a game system to the component input on my vr-509. I am assuming i will need to go buy a seperate component cable to also go from receiver to my wega correct?

also, how much for a decent component cable and will best buy have one?

If you have 2 component sources, such as a DVD player and game system, then hook both the component sources into the receiver and 1 component out to the VVega.

And yes Best Buy has A couple of different brands of component cables.
