I was ata Best Buy today and I noticed that Universal Discs are the most expensive. There were old movie-only DVDs for $20. Is there a specific reason for this?

Universal Home Video was the third major studio to support DVD in Late 1997. That was back when DVD was in its infancy and prices for DVD products were quite on the high end. Many Universal collector's editions sold for $34.95 while trailer-only and movie-only releases went for $24.95-$29.95. Universal has started to drop prices on a lot of older DVD titles...From $34.95 to $19.95 for some Collector's Editions and from $24.95 to $14.95 for some trailer-only releases.

Simply put...Universal Home Video has not started doing the major price drops that other distributors have done(Warner, Columbia, Paramount, Fox, Buena Vista, etc.)
