Question on SVM disabling (1 Viewer)

Hey guys.
I have a Zenith HD CRT. I have been learning as much as I can about the set.
While looking through the service manual for a setting to enable/disable SVM, I learned that the SVM is on a separate plug-in board.

Anything wrong with just disconnecting the module?
Seems a bit too easy.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's a setting to disable via software, so the hardware route may be the only way.

Anyone see anything wrong with this?

I don't know about on a Zenith, but it's a fairly common practice to unplug the SVM wire on each of the 3 CRTs on Toshiba RPTVs. Sometimes it has no effect, though.
