I just bought a Sony 775 SACD player and connected it to the ext inputs on my 3802. I definatly can't turn on any processing but I have the option of bypassing the tone controls or not(and being able adjust them) or should IU be able to adjust the channel levels with the recievers internal test tones?
I have been discussing this with another member in this post . He says he is unable to adjust any levels but the master volume, and that Denon just confirmed this. I just called Denon and was told that I should be able to do this. Now I'm not sure what is true and what is false. Any thoughts here guys?
I have reintialized the receivers processer and I can still adjust those settings.

Earle: I took a quick look at my 3802. I don't have DVD-A or SACD yet but I can still check what parameters are available.

3 things work. The tone controls can be accessed (and, probably most important, bypassed), the individual channel level adjustments and the master volume control. ALL are accomplished in the analog domain (NOT digitized.) For at least 2 receiver generations, Denon has had full analog pathways available, so your higher resolution signal will not be digitally corrupted.

Chuck,

Thanks for doing some leg work for me. I guess that my 3802 is working properly. The sony stuff must work alittle different.

Thanks again
