Are the episodes divided up across the four discs this way...

    4

    3

    3

    3

    ?

I'm trying to catch up, and the reruns on HBO are about to match up with my renting the dvds. I'm trying to avoid renting them when I can just watch them on tv.

I need to know if disc 3 start with "From Where to Eternity" or "Full Leather Jacket"

I thought it was the same split as the first season (4,4,4,1) but someone said it was the other way.

    Thanks!

    5. Big Girls Don't Cry

    6. The Happy Wanderer

    7. D-Girl

    Disc 3:

    8. Full Leather Jacket

    9. From Where to Eternity

    Thanks!

I was afraid of that. Maybe I can rent disc 3 and catch the rerun of Full Leather Jacket this week before next Sunday.

If not, at least I won't have to rent disc 4.

Did anyone else perceive a noticeable drop in compression quality on the first disc with four episodes? I have only watched the first two discs so far, but the episodes on disc two seemed to have substantially fewer artifacts than those on disc one. I'm usuall fairly tolerant/oblivious to these types of artifacts, but even I noticed these.

    Regards,

Yes, Ken, absolutely. The last three discs are the best from the standpoint of compression.

OTOH, all of them are better than anything on the first season box, which had serious compression artifacts all the way through.
