This isn't very clear in the manual. Ok so it's been awhile since I had a console so don't laugh at me ahahahah. The manual states that to switch games you should leave the power on and just open it up and put the new game in. Should I do this? Also to turn it off I basically just turn the power button off right? I'm so used to using a computer that I'm afraid that just hitting the power button will mess something up heheheeh.

According to the manual, yes, just open the cover and remove the game. The system should "brake" the disc so it'll stop spinning. If you want to turn the system off, just push the power button. You won't hurt anything.
