Eric,

Eric am I understanding your method of using danish oil by applying the oil with sandpaper?

If so do you sand between coats or is the sanding while applying oil?

Excellent craftsmanship BTW.

Thanks, Lee

I'm assuming the Eric you addressed is me :)
You want to get wet/dry paper and use it to apply the oil. Just glob it on with a rag and saturate the paper (make sure to put the paper on a sanding block.) Once you've sanded it all wait about 20 minutes then wipe off the excess. Then repeate the process with the next higer grit... and so on.
What your doing is filling the voids of the veener with tiny specks of it's own dust. Go up to about a 1200grit and you won't believe how smooth it becomes. Plus, other than taking time, it's quite easy to do. Not like Poly. where you have to be concerned with streaks and things.
Excellent craftsmanship BTW
Thanks!
