Just got done reading the online manual for the Denon 3802. It's not well written at all, so I have a question in need of a quick answer. [IMG]
In the speaker set up mode can I adjust each center back surround speaker separately for time delay (distance setting) and volume (or is it a global setting for both center back speakers-- hopefully not)? It would be running only the standard 7.1 speaker array (no surround A and B, just one pair).
    Thanks!
    Dan

Dan I only have the 3801,but I doubt they would change something like that for the worse,so the answer is yes,you can assign a different value for speaker distance, and volume setting for any of the 9 speakers that are avilable.

    Dan,
I just got my 3802 on Weds and went through this whole process - YES, you can definitely adjust for channel level and delay for each of the 2 surround back speakers.

Planning on picking up a 3802 Dan. [IMG]
The 5800 is designed the same way as mentioned by Lewis.

Actually, I'm looking into this for a neighbor. My sights are on the Outlaw Model 950 pre-amp if it gets good reviews.
I hope O.A. can work miracles with an $899 product. [IMG]

Trevor, are you going to wait for a Canuck release of the Denon 3802, or are you going to check out the internet mail-order scene? I myself am seriously considering the Denon 3802, but its a long 3 months or so wait! I am checking out ordering from the US. Warranty won't work though.

Chris,,I would wait and get the 3802 locally. Ordering a receiver Online without a warrenty is too much of a risk..I tried it earlier this year in my search for a good price on the 5800. It did not pan out the way that I had hoped. I ended up getting one locally and couldn't be happier with the quality receiver and peice of mind knowing I can get service without hassle.
    Something to consider.
