With bios and CTRL-A turned off, I still get the card's ID displayed and it still hangs for 5 to 6 seconds, maybe more. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes. The card will display a status message and scan the SCSI bus (and display any devices it finds), but if you've disabled the CTRL+A feature, you shouldn't see the CTRL+A prompt.

Disabling the BIOS will preclude you from booting off the drives attached to the SCSI controller, but it won't get rid of the initialization messages.

No CTRL-A prompt, just too much of a delay, for me.

Thanks,

Jeff
