Without revealing any spoilers (yet at least), can someone please tell me if any of the plot points from the first hour of TP tonight were addressed in the second hour (e.g., the mother, Lindsy/Bobby, the delivery guy, etc.)? Or was this a special Christopher Reeve episode? Thanks.

Just an old girlfriend showing up...

Also noted that the episode was co-written by Christopher Reeve.

All in all, I rather liked it, especially his line at the end of the episode about going to the police.

So "The Practice" aired TWO episodes last night?? Was this a last-minute change? My TiVo is still showing the Reeve episode airing NEXT Monday!

Yes 2 episodes with ABC saying one of the lawyers will be "killed"? Like when...at old age maybe?
I have noticed ABC's misleading ads for The Practice more and more sensationalized only to falter when one watches it. I do remember ER doing this when their ratings were sagging.

We ended up taping the second hour....what can I say, we're old and we were tired!!

Anyway, after a VERY strong first episode, I was very disappointed in the second hour. They keep introducing new characters when they're doing nothing with existing ones. Rebecca, Jimmy, Ellenor, Lucy....all falling by the wayside. Don't get me wrong - I'll take as much Jessica Capshaw as they want to throw at us :D but it seems silly to have all of these cast members and have them do NOTHING.

Also, I was extremely upset that there was not a mention of Whacko #1 (Lindsey's client who killed the girl) and Whacko #2 (the one with the thing for Helen), as we call them. Except for the slight continuation of the plot with Bobby and Lindsey's marital woes, it almost felt like watching shows separated by months of airtime.

And while Bobby certainly needed to examine his motives for being at lunch, I thought it was pretty rude to accept the invitation if all she was going to was interrogate him. Why'd she even go there?

I was annoyed at the plot twist with Jamie - way too predictable and cliched. I will say Capshaw did a great job with the acting, but it was very trite.

Here's hoping they follow up with the hanging threads next week...

Well, I'm relieved a bit that the plot points from the first hour weren't addressed since I missed the second hour! Thanks for everyone's recaps. And kudos for more of Capshaw! Let's hope that ABC can save TP from cancellation despite their stupidity in scheduling.
