I don't know if there is someone here who can answer this, but I have an interest in matte paintings and it seems that for many of the other studios there is some accounting for their holdings (either at the studio or in private collections or preserved thru photgraphs), but I haven't heard too much about Warner's material (other than one of the paintings from Robin Hood). Did most of the paintings not survive ?

Ooo, that photo, there's a few thousand dollars laying around there! But that's just stuff, it's when a studio starts to junk original film & tapes, then we should worry, but hopefully they hang on to it all now.
