Question about Video Essentials/rear speakers (1 Viewer)

I am trying to use VE to calibrate my speakers. When the test tone passes to the rears, is the sound supposed to come only from one speaker at a time? For me, when the tone plays the left rear, you can still hear some sound from the right rear (not as much as the left, but some nonetheless), and vice versa. Is this normal?

The problem could be the audio track selection. Go to the main menu select DD 5.1. It doesn't ask you that anywhere on the disc, but it does not default to DD. Not sure if that is the problem, but I had a similar issue with my fiance's father's older receiver.
