I saw these 2 discs are being released together in December. Does anyone know how these discs will differ, if at all, from the current releases. Will it just be the current High Fidelity & Rushmore: Criterion shrunk wrapped together?

It will be the same discs... They're just being re-packaged for Christmas sales.
By the end of January all of these new 2-disc sets from Disney will probably vanish.

    Guys,
I don't have absolute confirmation or anything. But I would assume that the 2-pack would include the original BV version of Rushmore not the Criterion collection. I think that these two-packs are a stock reducing ploy.

    Case in point...
The Mission to Mars/Armageddon two-pack is very unlikely to include the Criterion version.
    Just a thought...
I would be weary of the Rushmore/High Fidelity collection.

Well, I'd only be wary of the Rushmore / High Fidelity two pack if you already have one or both and are expecting more features, or if it doesn't have the Rushmore: CC and you want it.
If neither of those things are true...go for it! Those are two superb films!!

Buy.com reports that it will indeed contain the Criterion Edition.

I don't need this two-pack, but I guess the one thing I like about this announcement is that it confirms the consistency of my tastes. Not only do I own both Rushmore (CC) and High Fidelity, they are probably my two most-played discs ever, rivaled only by Spinal Tap and Goodfellas. (What can I say, I like movies with strong rock soundtracks.)
Glad to see that others will be able to buy these two excellent discs together and experience the best off-center, music-centric comedies of the last five years.

    Jeff,
I stand corrected on the High Fidelity/Rushmore 2-pack, and would recommed both discs highly.
I believe I confused this 2-pack with the High Fidelity/Grosse Point Blank 2-pack as the stock reducer.
Do the sell sheets for Mission to Mars/Armageddon say anything about the version?
