For anyone that has seen it. How come Scott Bakula's character never went to college?

If I recall, he had a death in the family, so had to drop out and run the farm or something.

I may be mistaken, and I'm no archivist of Necessary Roughness, but I thought his father died and he had to go work on his farm. He dropped a football career at that point. At least I think that was the way it went.

IIRC, his father died in his senior year of HS. He decided to run the family farm instead of going to college.
