I just bought the Artisan 2-disc "Special Edition" of this film yesterday and I was very disappointed to find that the transfer is NON-anamorphic.
So I went surfing to see if there is an anamorphic version and to see if perhaps I bought the wrong one.
Lo and behold, both IMDB and Amazon indicate that the version I bought is anamorphic.
    I'm now totally confused.
Did I buy the wrong version? Are IMDB and Amazon wrong? Can anyone shed some light?

Artisan seems to have a tendency for screwing up the transfers on their otherwise great SE's. [IMG]

It's non-anamorphic as that is the reason why I still don't own this movie on DVD.

Yea it doesnt make sense. This soundtrack is a monster on my system but the video isnt up to par.
A shame because its a great movie.
I dont understand why Oliver Stone movies have had such bad DVD transfers.
