Hi again

I am at the point where I am building my stage for the TV and equipment. I am building a long box of 2X6" wood, then adding 2x6 "rungs" every 16 inches, then I will add the top.

I'll use 2 layers of 3/4 inch stuff, such as plywood and MDF. Is there any preference for what to use for the top? Is MDF nice to use on the top layer? Any reason to avoid either the MDF or plywood for the top?

I will also fill each little compartment with insulation before closing it up.

Thanks, Tom.

Hi Tom,

I used 2 layers of 3/4" OSB Plywood with roofing paper in between. I built my stage in 3 sections (left side 3' - middle 80" - right side 3') and I filled the left and right side of my stage with sand and the middle with blown/loose insulation. I packed the loose insulation!
