Question about setting up a TV (1 Viewer)

I have a 46" RCA RPTV. It is an older model (99ish) that was a prize in a contest. Anyway... I like the TV, but there is a problem with the reds. When ever there are bright reds on the screen they get a snow liek static in them. If you are familiar with "The Learning Channel" thier logo is a bright red screen, and it is painfully noticable, and very annoying. It does it with any bright red, no matter the amount of red on the screen.
Anyone have any suggestions to adjust the TV with?

A good place to start would be calibrating your display. For an introduction, consult the HTF Beginners Primer and FAQ (the link is also available at the top of this forum listing). The most useful section would be A Quick Overview of Home Theater Calibration by Vince Maskeeper .
