Okay, to preface: my DVD player is old and somewhat broken. Thus, the right channel of audio output doesn't work anymore. So whe I played my Phantom Menace DVD Commentary, I didn't hear certain participants (ie: Rick McCallum, Dennis Muren). Does anyone know if they split the commentators onto two different channels of audio (similar to what Warner did with The Goonies and Superman)? Thanks.

It seemed to me like they split it across the three front channels (although, to be sure, it's Pro Logic, not discrete, so the center is matrixed). McCallum was generally on the right, and Ben Burtt was generally on the left. Lucas was always in the middle. Some of the visual effects/animation guys were recorded together (I think three of them, maybe four, at once), and, if I remember, on clips where just one was talking, they'd keep it sort of center channel, but if there was going to be some conversation between them, they'd shift the guys to particular sides of the soundstage.
