    hi all -

i've been thinking about getting a passport.

however, i don't have a copy of my birth certificate. i was born in hong kong and have my naturalization papers. plus, i am a u.s. citizen. i think being born in hong kong is proving to be the roadblock.

i contacted some bureau in san francisco that supposedly would be able to get me a copy of my birth certificate. after i sent them a check they sent me someone else's birth certificate! [IMG] (i thought about starting a new identity for the heck of it, but gave up on that idea.)

anyway, now i'm not sure what to do.

does anyone have any ideas? i searched the internet but couldn't find anything official.

    thx,

    ted
