Question about Infinite Baffle systems (1 Viewer)

Just out of curiosity I was just wondering what advantages are their to a IB set up?
Too me it seams like a tuned enclosure would sound better or play louder & lower but I have never heard an IB in a home so I have no idea at all as to how it would sound.

Actually IB's IMO offer the finest bass quality and detail of any subwoofer.
The advantages are no complex box, no worrying about tuning frequencies, etc, etc.

Thanks Thomas, I'm just getting curious about IB set ups & how well they perform. I cant quit looking to go one step farther with my system & this may be my next leap.

One thing that I really wonder about though is dose Gable vents or any for that matter in your attic have any effect on a system like this?
And I almost forgot with multiple subs do you wire them all in the same phase or do you wire an adjacent sub out of phase?

Attic vents have no impact on the performance. They do of course allow sound to bleed to the outside.

Yes all the drivers are wired in phase.
