    Hi,

n00b here. I got the H/K AVR125 (refurbed) on Thursday, and so far it seems to be working fine (using it on a pair of Yorkville monitors and an Onkyo sub).

One thing I noticed - the volume starts at -80dB and goes to 0 dB (I guess). But I have to turn it up to around -25dB to get a listenable volume on DVDs. Is this normal? I've owned cheap Kenwood receivers that got loud around -50 to -45dB. Just curious if something might be wrong

I have an AVR-225 calibrated at 75db w/Avia and I usually listen around -25 for DVDs. I don't think anything is wrong.
