Hi, im really looking into projectors now, and I want one that can display HDTV(480p, 720p, 1080i). My question is what are the best kind of projectors for around 3000-5000 dollars? CRT, LCD, or DLP? I pretty much know nothing about them but I want a really great picture and I am planning to watch satellite TV with it, its mostly for casual watching and movies once in a while. Thanks.

it really depends on what you're trying to do with it and what your priorities are.

How dark can you get your room? What kind of ceiling for mounting do you have. What will you be driving it with? Is BIG and HEAVY ok (for CRT)? How much TV do you watch compared to movies.

It sounds like a digital would be good for you. If you're picky about PQ and watch a lot of movies, then CRT would be the best, but certainly it is a sacrafice of effort to achieve that PQ that you won't be able to attain without spending a lot more on the more expensive digitals.
