Question About DVD-A (1 Viewer)

Warner brothers just announced 2 DVD-A discs that i'm very interested in. Both from R.E.M. in the R.E.M. forum that I visit someone said that these new warner bros discs could be played in A regular old standerd dvd player. Can anyone here confirm that they will work on A regular DVD player And I can play them in surround without a special DVD-A player?

Yeah, 99.9999% of all DVD-A discs and probably 100% of Warner discs have a Dolby Digital 5.1 track on them. There's no reason to believe that the new R.E.M. would be any different.
