Any word on this Jean-Jacques Annaud film coming to DVD? It was released in Germany.

Hello!
Anyone?
My favorite memory of this film, besides Cheech & Chongs offspring [not from the two of them, of coarse!], was Robin Williams line about the film.

In his best 'stoner'[pun intended] voice;
"Whoa, what a awesome documentary!"

Seems like every once in a while someone starts a thread about Quest for Fire, it gets about 5 posts then fades off into oblivion.
What a shame.
I want this movie on DVD.

I'm rather found of this movie also. As far as I'm aware it is not available on DVD.

Come on cavemen there's no time to wallow with Tim Myers, try to set the night on fire... I vote yes on the DVD! Gay caveman, Rae dawn Chong, strong handsome types with big foreheads (of course), and cannibals who are not affiliated with Her Majesty's Navy. There's something for everybody here. I'd buy this title for more than a dollar.:emoji_thumbsup:

I'd like this as well. Maybe with Ron Pearlman getting a little more attention from Blade II and hopefully Hellboy, it will generate more interest in this title as well.

I'm in (once again). :) You might want to have this thread moved to the STUDIO FEEDBACK section where it may actually be seen by studio reps.

the good news is that fox owns the rights to the movie.. it should be a good dvd special edition. the fox movie channel plays it every once in a while both in letterbox and pan and scann format.

Looks as if this is finally getting released, according to DVDFILE:

"Also due on March 4th is Jean Jacques Arnaud's Quest for Fire, presented in a new anamorphic widescreen transfer and 2.0 Dolby surround. Extras include an audio commentary by Arnaud and cast members Michael Gruskoff, Ron Pearlman and Rae Dawn Chong, the original 1982 "Quest For Fire Adventure" featurette, no less than 15 still galleries with commentary by Arnaud, and the trailer."

Looks like I will be buying quite a few of these FOX titles, so how many copies of Sunrise does this get me then.
Could not resist, sorry
:D
