    Hi
I Understand that to date Season 4 will be the Last Season for "Queer as Folk" (14 Episodes). I have also heard that the principal Actors have been signed for Season 5 but that Showtime who produces the show has not yet renewed for a 5th Season. I also understand that there is a petition online somewhere asking/demanding a 5th Season?? Can anyone provide me with the link?

    Thanks

Yeah, if there's a petition I want to sign it too.

    So, how is Season 4?

It is a good as the last 1/2 of season 3,
or is it more like the overblown and artificial storylines we got in Season 2?

This used to be Showtime's highest rated series,
but it might have taken a tumble since many of us
gave up on it after season 2, only to have it appear
to have improved for the latter half of season 3.

Still, the shock of the whole thing is gone,
and unless we care about these characters,
the show has probably lost a lot of ratings and fans,
except for those reported hetero female fans
that love watching cute guys make out and "be emotional."

(Based on the long discussions at the QAF forum
I read and responded to during season 2, it seemed
pretty clear that the majority of the women fans
who posted were much more forgiving of the
    lack-of-any-basis-in-reality plot lines than
the gay men were, who thought the show was
rapidly declining in to a badly written soap opera.)

It also sounds like Season 4 was attempting,
like the latter half of season 3,
to improve the quality of the show, but
will it cost them viewers who liked the
(tired) approach of all the shocking (not) sex
and lack of any real character depth?

I would think Showtime ordering up Season 5
would be a no-brainer unless more us have
abandonded the show than I thought.

The lack of any real discussion of the show
at this forum (when there used to be several
of us who often posted about it) seems telling,
    too.

This season of QAF is much better than the last. They are dealing more with issues and relationships. Unfortunately, there is only 3 episodes left. Anyone know if this is the last season?
