With Scott Bakula being pretty popular once again on Enterprise, wouldn't now seem like the perfect time to cash in on his other property, Quantum Leap? So far, we've only gotten a bare bones disc of the pilot wich is currently out of print.

There are only 5 seasons of the show, so it shouldn't be too tough to get these out in boxed sets, so why I havn't we seen them? It would also be great if we could get Bakula or Stockwell for commentaries.

Isn't this a Universal property? If so, while they do control several shows I would love to have on DVD--including Quantum Leap--I don't think they have made any moves towards issuing any TV shows as of yet. Unless you count the A-Team over at Columbia House.

I'd definitely be interested in Quantum Leap boxed sets, particularly since I missed most episode 5 shows. I think music rights will be a problem, though.

I too would love season sets of these. I already have the OOP and hard-to-find pilot episode, "Genesis", that Image put out on DVD a few years ago.

    "Oh Boy" is right!!!

This was, and arguably still is, my favourite show; certainly when I was a kid.

I have the pilot on DVD and look forward to having the rest of the series in the format.
I used to watch this every day. Still catch it on every once in a while. It's one of the few sci-fi shows I love. [IMG]

In a recent interview, show creator Don Bellisario said that he tried to get Universal to fork up dough for a reunion movie but their attitude towards the show was "We're not interested in Quantum Leap at this time".

May be a while before we see those Box Sets.....

In case anyone's interested, the SCI-FI Channel is airing a 12-episode marathon of Quantum Leap this Monday. [IMG]

This was also one of my favorite shows. Unfortunately, I don't think this show was or is popular enough to get a studio to start producing more episodes on DVD. Even the pilot episode has been out of print for a while.

One of my favorite episodes (believe it was a two part) is when Sam goes back and visits his family.

Spoiler:When he tries to stop his brother from going to the war, because he gets killed there...

At the end he plays John Lennons "Imagine" song on a guitar for his kid sister. I'm sure if these ever do get released on dvd the rights would have expired, and this very touching scene would be dropped...

this was my favorite show back in the day (when did Quantum Leap come out? I definately remember watching it A LOT when I was a kid, whether first-run or re-runs. I think it would be cool to have all the episodes because you could keep of the continuity between the episodes (you always see Bakula warp to his next mission)
was this a 60 minute or 30 minute show? I am pretty sure it is 60 minutes so it would take up about 7 Discs each season (like the X-Files sets).
I'd buy it... but has Universal put out ANY TV product yet?
