    Check this out: http://tenebrae.sourceforge.net/index.php
These guys have re-done the graphics in the original Quake and the results are VERY impressive. Some of the effects are a bit over done but it's cool nonetheless.

Camp, I've been playing some Tenebrae, and finding it very dark. Could you share how you got it so nice and bright please. Impulse 100 (flashlight) isn't working out to well :/

    thx in advance

    Paul,
The screenshot Camp posted is simply a screen that is shown on the site itself. There is a FAQ tehre that has the question "Why Tenebrae so dark?" along with a walkthrough on how to correct that issue. You can find that here:
    Tenebrae Dark?

WOW![IMG] I checked out Tenebrae a month ago but this new version really gives a good impression of the kind of effects we can expect from Doom 3 (full real-time shadows from most light sources, copious amounts of bump-mapping etc.). If you're downloading it you absolutely MUST check out Willi Hamme's TestMap - That's what I'm referring to when I mean Doom 3 effects... It looks great!

It looks bad with an ATI Radeon. Like every texture is made of shiny plastic. Very annoying. I hope they fix it soon because it has a lot of potential.
