Anybody using these?

Opinions and where to buy. I contacted my local QSC rep and he had NO clue about this series of amps.

Anybody have an online source for the SRAs

These look to a brand new series. They're listed on the QSC site but Parts Express doesn't carry them as yet. Looks like the new home amplifier series I thought was coming out months ago.

Mark: Go to QSC, click on the SRC photo, and look at the specs - they do have balanced inputs.

Looks like my kind of amp - I wonder how they're priced?

Thats exactly what I am wondering myself, real world prices that is!

*****Got these from the net*****

SUGGESTED U.S. LIST PRICING
Effective September 1, 2003

SRA 1222 $1499.00
SRA 2422 $1999.00
SRA 3622 $2499.00

********************************

Lets see... I would need four of the 1222 = $5996.00

or

(1) 2422 + (3) 1222 = $6496.00

What does that mean in reality....time to look elsewhere :frowning:

The question is - how much better or different is the SPA line over the PLX line? The PLX 3402, which seems to be equivalent to the SRA 3622, can be had for a bit over $1000. Would it be worth the extra cash for the SRA 3622? Sure would like to find out.

Personally, I'm disappointed that QSC is sticking with stereo amps for the HT market.

It's a shame, because their amplifiers are killer :D

I agree,

But with the prices reflected above, this places them above some very very well known names. But the question still remains, how well do they stackup to the Rotel's and the like. Obviously there is going to be some sort of price difference between MSRP and what the end user gets them at, but will us working folk have a realistic chance at acquiring SRA? Based on the above prices, not likely.
