How do you determine the quality of sound for second zone, in other words I use a pioneer 49tx receiver for my ht and use the multizone for music in another room I have paradigm reference inwalls for the second zone. My question is are you getting the receivers 2 channel music or is it something different? The sound is nice But I am looking for a little more, my plans are to add more inwalls/ceiling speakers in almost every room with volume knobs and use 2 channels from my parasound 2205 along with a rotel switcher.
at some point I would like to upgrade my 49tx with a pre-pro and I am anticipating the new anthem that is suppose to retail around 6k us. With the performance of the avm 20 and their reputation the new piece should compete with lex, theta and some of the others.

I really enjoy my music throughout the house so what should I do?

a decent 2 channel preamp for the second zone with a switcher so I can use 2 channels from the amp?

A quality pre-pro with 2nd zone and switcher?
