I completed my stereo system setup last month. I have old school receiver, turntable, cassette deck and CD player. Everything works except the Sony WE 475 cassette Deck. I’m currently looking for someone to repair it.

I purchased a Pyle PT 639D stereo cassette deck which does work for my purposes. What is the group’s opinion on these? I noticed that when I press the stop/eject key each deck opens and closes. But, the play keys are flimsy. They have to be held down at first. I’m not impressed with that so far

It's a $130 dual cassette deck. To be honest, I'm surprised it even works. I wouldn't expect it to last very long.

I remember seeing Pyle car subwoofers in Radio Shack when I was in high school. If their cassette decks are anything like their subs, they’re bottom of the barrel and not worth the money.

It's not just Pyle but most of the trendy new cassette players use the same very cheap Chinese mechanism. If your Sony deck sounded good before, I'd get it repaired & return the Pyle.
