Putting Bose Acoustimas sub against wall (1 Viewer)

I have an older version of the Bose Acoustimas satellite speakers with the passive subwoofer.

How much of a difference does putting the subwoofer against the wall make for the bass? I notice it sounds deeper, is there a certain situation to do this in?

I do not have a good ear for this, so I'm just curious what everyone else thinks.

Yes, any sub will do bass better when placed near a wall. Better yet, put it in a corner.
