Pushing Daisies was one of those shows I begrudgingly agreed to sit down with my wife and watch an episode of only to wind up absolutely loving it. Also, I think each time I watched an episode I said, "I really hope this comes out on Blu-ray Disc because it is going to look awesome"!

Well, sometimes you get your wish:

This was probably the most spectacular looking show in HD last fall (among those I watched it certainly was) and its visuals are a perfect fit with HDM. This will definitely go on my shelf in "blu" at some point.

When they announced the SD release last week without mentioning a BD version, I was very disappointed. Other than "Lost", this is the one TV show that just screams out for a HiDef presentation on disc. The colors are like nothing else on the tube. So glad to see that Warner agrees.

Aside from the look, it's a unique and engaging mashup of the murder mystery, romantic comedy, and fantasy genres. Sounds like a disaster but the writing, production design, and cast make it work. A must-buy for me.

A definite buy here... Of all the shows on television, this is the one I most wanted to see released in Blu-ray. It looks fantastic in 720p, and I'm looking forward to seeing the abbreviated season in 1080p. I'm also bummed about the lack of commentaries, though.

I picked this up and although I will probably not be publishing a forum review, I wanted to at least point out that the Dolby TrueHD track mentioned on the packaging was nowhere to be found. Other than that, it looks and sounds very nice.

The interface to the featurettes is a bit awkward, but there is some good behind the scenes stuff sprinkled throughout.

Regards,
