I guess that for Prince it is more important that he is back in the public eye with lots of "free" publicity which in turns means more people will see his shows
I was able to see him twice when he was in the NY area last month, and if all the deserved great reviews this tour has gotten isn't enough to pull people in, I don't know what is. It was a fun, exhilirating two-and-a-half hour performance.
If not for all the great bonuses on the upcoming Purple Rain disc, I'd be more looking forward to Under The Cherry Moon. I realize I may be in the minority, but I always thought of that as a fun little movie. It's been a while since I've seen it (as well as Graffiti Bridge). They'll all be added to my collection on release day.
I love the Under the cherry moon soundtrack ...movie is o.k...... But there is no way im buying Graffitti Bridge ...omg this IS a terrible movie He must have had Warner by the balls to release this one
While we wait for the HTF review, here's a link to Entertainment Weekly's review of the new Purple Rain disc, and below is the text of EW's review for the other two Prince releases, Under The Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge.
