Purchasing an Onkyo 989 from a non authorized reseller... (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to purchase an Onkyo 989 receiver and was wondering if anyone had had problems with warranty and/or upgrades for their products if they were NOT purchased through an authorized reseller.
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. Before posting any questions, I'd suggest running a search for the answer. I plugged in "unauthorized dealers" under HT hardware and came up with two pages of posts touching on this subject. One thread that was still active 6 days ago on the same subject:

are some of the authorized Onkyo dealers. I'd be surprised if you find a price from an unauthorized source that is significantly better than these etailers offer.

Call jandr.com. They are an authorized Onkyo dealer and they will usually price match other dealers...even if the other dealer is a non-authorized dealer. So, you can get the price and the warranty.
