Should arrive in about 5-7 days, cant wait! I'm upgrading from a $250 3-year old Pioneer (dolby digital, no DTS), think I will notice an improvement in sound quality? [IMG]
There is a definite lack of good information on this receiver in this forum, so I will post a basic review of this unit once it arrives. I hope it lives up to the specs and the limited "hype"; this is the largest gamble I've ever made on an "unheard" internet purchase (my SVS turned out to be a good bet though) [IMG]

If your ears are anything like the reviwers ears you should love it. I've rarely seen such good buzz about a product...even the Brits love it.

Do post a fair sized review when you get a chance. The Devil is in the details...

I've had some interest in this unit also. Seems to have everything going for it, except information on it. Anybody know if they sell in Canada? Looking forward to your review Paul.

The only reason why I didn't buy the R-963 was it was out

of my price range. I have the R-863 which has some of the

same features, but you got the top of the line model.

The Sherwood R-963 doesn't need the "limited availability,

will take preorder, put you on a list, make you wait

months for delivery" hype that some other manufacturers

use. You may have gambled, but I think you hit the

jackpot. I'll be doing a review of the R-863 once I

    upgrade my DVD player.
