Could buy an aftermarket piece of plexiglass ... cheaper and serves the same purpose.

I got my 53WX42 two weeks ago & only yesterday had a chance to play with it. I noticed a 3-4" long, thin (~1-2mm) streak toward the top-center of the screen. It isn't noticeable when the TV is off, but I see it if there's a blue sky or something solid/bright in the image.

I'm guessing this streak (scrape) happened either in shipment or when the delivery guys unpacked the TV & carried it to my basement. It isn't a major thing, but I know it'll always bug me when I watch the TV. Is this screen on the 42 called the "lenticular"? Can I turn it inside out?

The lenticular is mean to go into the TV only one way.

If you invert it, you are in trouble.

If you turn it upside down, you will likely be in trouble ...

Thanks Michael. I'll try to get Panny to send me a replacement lenticular. If my TV is the one w/o the AS2 screenshield, then the front screen is the lenticular right?

If there are ribs ... then it is the lenticular. Otherwise it is the plexiglass screen.
