Well, theyve finally done it. US PSPs can finally run homebrew software. Woo!

I just tried it out, and so far its great...really, really great.

Not sure how much I can say, or whats against the rules, but so far I am a happy man. Portable classics on the go...ahhhh yeah.

I've heard about people doing that to their PSPs.

I've also heard that they may release firmware in the future that will disable hacks and future games will require the firmware upgrade to play.

For your sake I hope that's not true.

I've been playing classics on the Xbox for a while now. I love it.

In Japan, many new games come with firmware upgrades that must be installed.

I hope that doesnt happen anytime soon with the US PSP, but its likely. [IMG]

Forgive my ignorance, but what "classics" are you referring to?

Any classic you can think of.

Similar to what David has on his PSP.

You betcha. Right now PSP NES is at full speed, but SNES is a bit too slow. Im sure theyll eventually improve over time.

you're referring to the swap trick, correct? do the games fill the whole screen? as long as i can download the 1.50 firmware (when it gets updated) and use the new method of installing emulators, i'll buy a psp very soon. i wont play any psp games or buy any psp movies, the only reason i want one is emulation. same as my xbox. i dont have any xbox games, only 1000s of classics [IMG]

Right, the swap trick. Many emulators allow you to have the original size (centered in the middle of the screen, pretty small), fill (maximize the game until it hits the edge, still keeping the ratio) or fullscreen.

Christ, I would hold on purchasing a PSP, since many emus are really at its infancy right now and are not the best Ive seen. Still, its great playing NES on PSP. But wait until they get better.

I have a SNES emu and a Sega Genesis emu.

The Sega Genesis games run supurb!!

I agree that the SNES run a tad slow, but are still great.

I'm trying the Sega Dreamcast out.

I've seen my friends Neo-Geo games on his PSP and it's utterly fantastic. I love the Neo Geo games!!
