A member of the household dropped my beloved PSB Image 1B speaker off of its stand recently. Of course, she didn't admit it, blaming it on the "cleaning maid", who hadn't been in the house for 6 months, but that's another story The tweeter was dented, and the grille needed to be replaced. There were also some dents and bruises to the housing, but what can you do about that? Since I live in Toronto, I brought it in to their headquarters in Pickering (a 30 min drive away), fully expecting to pay for the repair costs. Two weeks later, they call me telling me it's ready to be picked up. Guess what? There were no charges, since they said my speaker was still under warranty (bought it Oct 2000). Looking at the receipt, the repairs would have cost me about CAN$120 or, or over half of what the speaker cost me. Now that's what I call customer service. I've always liked PSB, but this puts them over the top for me. I wouldn't hesitate to by from them again if I were to upgrade my speakers.
