I have a new AVR, upon set up everything connected with no issues cable/shield/ blu-ray player all good.

But when I hook up my PS4 the AVR I get nothing.

I tested the HDMI connector so that is not the issue.

I thought I read somewhere this may be related to an external device that is needed?

Yes, if you have an older 4700 without the newest upgraded HDMI 2.1 chipsets integrated into the video board, you do need an external box from Denon to make the older, faulty HDMI 2.1 chipsets compatible with 120 Hz 4k and all 8k signals.

Dan,

I suspect I know you. You've been to my house, haven't you?
